Badges & More Enterprise Software

Badges & More Enterprise is both a data maintenance system and a specialized print program that works with JET databases (Access .mdb databases), Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and with ODBC databases.  To use BADGES & MORE you will need at least one database configured to meet your needs.  This can be either a pre-configured database or one that you create.

BADGES & MORE is not a hard coded program.  Instead, you create and maintain database definitions, screen definitions, and ID badge/label/tag designs using the Administration program.  These definitions are then used by the Data Entry program to maintain your databases and print your badges, labels, and tags

BADGES & MORE has three main components plus a customizable tutorial program to build or edit user instructions (Note: For detailed information about each component, click the links on the left side of this screen):

I. Administration Program

The Administration program is the "programming" component of BADGES & MORE.  This is where you create Shared Directories, setup database connections, define data entry screens, design badges, define badge types, and manage security.

II. Data Entry Program

The Data Entry program is the “user” component of BADGES & MORE.  This is where you do data entry work, print badges, transmit data, and so on.

III. Shared Directories

Shared Directories are where definitions are stored, and can also include user databases, instruction files, custom "linked programs" and any other pertinent file associated with the application.  You can have any number of Shared Directories, and each one is independent from the others, including security.  The Shared Directory concept makes it easy for a central site or organization to setup a complete system (data maintenance, badges, form printing, data transmissions, and so on) and distribute the package to other Badges & More Enterprise installations which can begin using the system immediately.

IV. Tutorial

The Tutorial works with pictures, text, and movies to provide a flexible instruction tool.  Use the Tutorial in conjunction with media tools (such as Camtasia and SnagIt by TechSmith) to provide "How To" movies, screen shots, and text.
